A.I.Residents. A collection of 100 single-edition portraits you can interact with. Collect, Burn, Breed.
Participation in this project allows you to have a direct (and potentially significant) impact on the outcome of the final collection. You may collect and hold, burn, or breed any portrait in the original series of 100. This project is a collaboration with the public and will become a record of transactions and images that result from the process. Collect, burn, and breed the Residents as you wish.

How It Works
The original collection is 100 portraits of female A.I. Residents. Collectors may choose to collect and protect any resident they enjoy, or they can burn any resident, permanently removing it from the blockchain and re-spawning as a newly minted male version of the resident with similar traits.
Save
The simplest way to participate is to buy and hold (save). Holding onto your resident will ensure that it is included in the final collection.
Burn
Burn 1 A.I.R. (female) = Receive 1 new A.I.R. (male) via Airdrop.
Burning will permanently erase your original NFT and a new NFT will be airdropped to your wallet. The new NFT will be a male version created from the DNA of the A.I.R. that you burned. Owning a male unlocks the ability to breed your AIR.
How to Burn Your A.I. Resident
This will delete your token from the blockchain. Please make sure you are certain this is what you wish as this action is IRREVERSIBLE. If so, this can be accessed from the three dots (…) button in the bottom right of any A.I.Resident artwork that you have minted. When you click the red ‘Delete / Burn’ button it will launch another window asking you if you are sure. If you confirm, it will launch a transaction to burn the token. Once the transaction goes through, the artwork will no longer exist. Within days you will receive a new A.I.Resident via an airdrop that will appear directly in your wallet.
Breeding
1 A.I.R. (female) & 1 A.I.R. (male) in a single wallet = 1 new A.I.R.. Each resident can only breed 1 time, so be careful who you breed with.
Collectors can choose to breed two residents together to create new residents from their combined DNA. It requires 1 female and 1 male A.I.Resident in a single wallet to breed. Each unique pair will receive 1 new A.I.Resident via an airdrop.
Breeding is simple, if you own a male and female A.I.R. in a wallet they will eventually breed automatically, and you will be airdropped a “child” A.I.R. based on the DNA of your male and female A.I.R.
Concept
The “AI Resident” series is a collection of 100 single-edition portraits. Each portrait is one of a kind, but the humans and domestic spaces depicted in the series are not based on real people or places, they represent the theme of the artist muse as the collective consciousness.
The series is an exploration of the relationship between technology and the domestic space, and the ways in which it can shape our understanding of time (the human model) and space (the building that holds the human).
If we think of the home as a dollhouse, then we must consider who or what is outside of the dollhouse. From within the home these human figures appear to be lifelike and experiencing something within the home, but they are the residents of this house which is a construction of the god-like figure which created them, which in this case is the artist. The artist collaborated with the collective unconscious (AI) in the creation of these works.
A.I.R. an artistic representation of the relationship between human, technology, and questioning what it is that makes us real or unique.
